About the role:

We are looking for an individual to be all hands on deck for within our office. We are searching for someone to both run our in-house coffee bar, but also learn the ropes of facilities! You’ll need a passion for coffee, positive can-do attitude and a willingness to learn. You’ll be the face everyone knows and a key point of contact in connecting our team and visitors at Akuna. You will take pride in creating a positive and welcoming environment where people can come to unwind and catch up with colleagues.

This is a full-time position. Hours would be between 8-5pm with the occasional extra 30 mins - 1 hour of help needed, Monday through Friday.

What you’ll do:

  • Use your prior barista experience to serve high quality coffee and specialty beverages to our employees alone and in a team at peak times.
  • Set up and pack down the coffee bar each day, including cleaning and maintenance of all equipment.
  • Step into other facility roles depending on the need and activity in the office.
  • Maintain inventory and stock of coffee bar items and unpack deliveries when received.
  • Keep the coffee bar and surrounding areas tidy and clean- including the upkeeping of dishwashers and laundering cloths and towels.
  • Assist the Facilities team in maintaining overall cleanliness throughout the office and kitchens.
  • Assist with special events, projects and ad hoc requests as needed.

What you’ll bring:

  • A love and passion for all things coffee- minimum of 6 months barista experience.
  • A self-starter with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Always looking to improve or develop more efficient processes when needed.
